Workshop Seminars 2016


The 7th Vishikhanupravesham (Graduation Day Ceremony) for the outgoing students of Sri Sri College Of Ayurvedic Science And Research, Bengaluru was held on Friday, 20th May 2016. The ceremony was conducted at the Vishalakshi Mantap, Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru.

Prof. Vd. K.S.Dhiman, Hon’ble Director General of Central Council for Research in Ayuvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, New Delhi was the chief guest. Smt. Bhanumati Narasimhan, Hon’ble Director, Women Empowerment & Child Welfare Programme, Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru, as inaugural guest. Sri. Nikhil Sen, Hon’ble Chairman /Trustee, SSRVM Trust, Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal, Sri. Gautam Mukharji, CAO, Prof. S.G.Mangalgi, were present on the dais.  Prof .B N. Gangadhar, Director, NIMHANS and other invited guests graced the occasion.     

The guests were escorted to the venue in a traditional procession by the staff and students of Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research. 

Smt. Bhanumati Narasimhan was inaugurated the programme. She congratulated the outgoing graduates and emphasized the importance of the institution in building ones’ career and hence the student should value it. Follwed to this, oath taking to the newly Graduates was performed by Prof. S G Mangalgi.

The Chief Guest in his Convocation address stressed upon the importance of clinical utility in Ayurveda and suggested the need of ethical research for the overall development of this Science.

The institutional awards for outstanding performance in academics were given to the Toppers in the University examinations. Apart from this special awards - Ayurjyothi Award by Sri Sri Jyothi Foundation, Best Internee Award from SSCASR&H, Jivaka Award and AyurVisharada Award from Himalaya Drug Company were also awarded as a recognition for the students Academic excellence. 33 newly graduated Doctors were awarded the degree with a memento.

Prof. Ganesh Puttur proposed the vote of thanks which was followed by National Anthem. The Master of ceremony were Dr. Sweta and Dr. Shruthi Patil. All the invitees actively participated in the function and made it a grand success. The official programme was followed by vernacular cultural programmes by the students of SSCASR followed by a fest for tummy.

Other important events conducted at SSCASR AYURWHIZ 2016- Collegiate level

The literary committee of SSCASR hosted the Collegiate, Cluster and State-level AYURWHIZ– Quiz competitions organized by the Himalaya Drug Company.

The competition at the collegiate level was conducted in two phases viz., written and oral rounds. More than 75 students from our institution participated in the written round from which the top 10 students were selected for the oral round of quiz. Mr. Arpan Choudry and Ms. Anushree M K, Final year students made their entry into the cluster level representing SSCASR.
